John A. Tosto practices in the areas of criminal defense including drunk driving, family law, civil litigation, school law, personal injury, and traffic law.
Mr. Tosto received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan-Flint, and his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
Mr. Tosto has extensive trial experience in both criminal and civil matters. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Tosto served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Flint for nearly five years. During his tenure at the City Attorney’s Office, he spent two years as the supervising trial attorney in the City’s criminal prosecution division.
Mr. Tosto is an active member of the Genesee County Bar Association, and is a 3 year associate in the Centennial American Inns of Court an organization of lawyers and judges committed to ethics, excellence, civility, and professionalism in the practice of law.
